Nobis receives lifetime achievement honor

The Atlanta Sports Council will honor Tommy Nobis with its Lifetime Achievement Award at the March 5 Atlanta Sports Awards at The Fox Theatre in Atlanta.

Nobis, called “Mr. Falcon,” was the first player drafted by the NFL team and play for the Falcons from 1966 to 1976. A five-time Pro Bowler and first ever Falcon to earn the honor, Nobis is a member of the Sports Illustrated All-Century team and a member of the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame.
