Shiloh Generals (8-AAAAAA)

Coach: Troy Hobbs

2012 Record: 3-7

Last week: Did not play

Unlike most schools, Shiloh wasn’t able to play a preseason scrimmage. The Generals’ game with Rockdale two weeks ago was rained out. That leaves head coach Troy Hobbs with a little uncertainty going into Friday’s game against Meadowcreek.

Hobbs was pleased with preseason practice, so he’s excited to see how it plays out on the field. The Generals started last season with three wins, but then lost the next seven games. They return some of their top players from last season like receiver Cameron Stewart, while Wil Larimore takes the reins at QB.

“He’s stepped up and taken control of the position,” Hobbs said.

The Generals will face a Meadowcreek program that has a 48-game losing streak dating back to 2008. Deario Grimmage resigned as head coach in July and former Georgia State assistant coach George Pugh is the interim coach. Pugh coached the Mustangs in 2003-04 and was 1-19. Meadowcreek won its preseason scrimmage with McNair 21-6.

Last meeting: Shiloh won 36-6 last year
