Friday is a day for music lovers. There are three free concerts in the county.
Duluth is presenting its SummerStage Concert featuring The Ballybeg Band, a group of four musicians passionate about Celtic music. The group’s music ranges from melodies of the Scottish highlands to Irish jigs.
The show starts at 7 p.m. at the Duluth Amphitheatre, which is located at 3142 Hill St. in Duluth. This event is an open zone event where alcohol may be brought in from home or purchased from a downtown merchant.
Need a table? There are some for rent ranging from $20 to $80 depending on the size of the table. Other attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs.

Not far away, Lawrenceville Tourism and Trade Association is hosting its Moonlight and Music Concert Series Friday with Yacht Rock Schooner (a ’70s cover band) taking stage.
The free series begins at 8 p.m. on the lawn of the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets and picnics for a night under the stars.
Although the series is free, there are reserved tables available for six that can be rented beginning at $65 by contacting the Lawrenceville Visitors Center at 678-226-2639. The lawn and table seating are available starting at 6 p.m.

In Norcross, AIA — The Jimmy Buffet Tribute Band headlines the 2013 Summer Concert Series. Between 7:30 and 9:30 p.m., the public is invited to grab chairs and blankets, a picnic and drinks (no glass allowed, though) to lay in the grass for a free show of Buffett covers.
After the concert, the city will shoot off fireworks that were postponed from the rained out Fourth of July event.
Tables are available for rent for the evening, if sitting in the grass isn’t your thing. A table of six is $60 per concert and eight people is $70. To reserve a spot, call the city of Norcross’ Parks and Rec Department at 678-421-2000 or 678-421-2010.
