Agar earns honor from Perfect Game

DAHLONEGA — Current University of North Georgia pitcher and Brookwood grad Brandon Agar was named Thursday as the No. 9 prospect from the New York Collegiate Baseball League after a strong summer with the Oneonta Outlaws.

The sophomore right-hander posted a team-high 16 appearances for Oneonta and accumulated a 2-3 record with a team-high six saves, a 3.11 ERA and 25 strikeouts over 26 innings.

He also started for the Outlaws in the NYCBL’s championship game, and shut out the Hornell Dodgers with five strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings.

Agar went 7-4 with a 3.42 ERA and 46 strikeouts over 52 2/3 innings as a freshman for North Georgia last spring.
