Duluth, Shiloh win sportsmanship award

THOMASTON — The Georgia High School Association and Georgia Electric Membership Corporation announced Wednesday the 48 GHSA member schools that will receive the 2013 Cooperative Spirit Sportsmanship Awards.

Two Gwinnett County schools, Duluth from Region 7-AAAAAA and Shiloh from Region 8-AAAAAA, were among those 48 schools honored for demonstrating exemplary sportsmanship during the 2012-13 school year.

The awards, selected annually by each of the GHSA’s region secretaries, honors student athletes, fellow students, school staffs, parents and event spectators for the sportsmanship they displayed at events.
