WINDER — A 4-year-old girl feared kidnapped is safe and sound, authorities said Monday afternoon.
An advisory was issued Monday for 4-year-old Annsleigh Evans after "the biological father of the child had allegedly taken the child without permission from another family member on Sunday," Barrow County Sheriff's Office spokesman Lt. Matt Guthas said.
"Upon receiving the report sheriff's investigators immediately began investigating the case and following leads," Guthas said.
At about 2:30 p.m. Monday, the girl was found in Forsyth County. She was safe and unharmed in the custody of her father.
"The sheriff's office is investigating the incident to determine if any criminal activity took place," Guthas said. "No arrest or charges have been filed at this time."
