Parkwood Farms to host charity golf tourney

SNELLVILLE — Parkwood Farms — an equine therapy center for children with developmental disabilities — will host a charity golf tournament next month.

Dubbed “Holes for Horses,” the tournament will be held on Friday, Sept. 13, at the Country Club of Gwinnett in Snellville. For $130, individual golfers will get a round of golf, a raffle ticket for a vacation drawing, a gift bag, admittance to a silent auction, lunch, post-round hoers d’oeuvres, a crack at a “million-dollar shot” and more.

The shotgun start will be at 1 p.m.

Events will also include prizes for the longest putt, longest drive and closest to the pin.

Sponsors and volunteers are needed. Those interested in volunteering should email golfvolunteers@parkwoodfarms.org. For more information, visit the tournament’s website at tournevents.com/parkwood or email to holesforhorsesgolf@parkwoodfarms.org.
