Gwinnett Daily Post
Police believe this man, hit and killed by a car Sunday night, might be Javier Antonio Castro Gonzalez, but are asking for the public’s help.
Gwinnett County police believe the pedestrian hit and killed outside of a Norcross night club Sunday might be Javier Antonio Castro Gonzalez — emphasis on might.
Officers responded to the area in front of Bananas Night Club, located at 6054 S. Norcross Tucker Road, at about 11:40 p.m. Sunday, finding an adult male pedestrian that had been his by a passing vehicle. The pedestrian died the following day.
“Investigators,” Cpl. Jake Smith said, “have not been able to confirm the identity of the deceased.”
Police did recover an identification card that listed the victim as Javier Antonio Castro Gonzalez, but aren’t sure if that was his true identity. They released a poor-quality photo taken from that ID card and are asking for the public’s help.
“Investigators are looking for any information about him, his relatives and his activities on the evening of the accident,” Smith said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator D.W. Johnson of the accident investigation unit at 678-442-5628.
The pedestrian was determined to be at fault in the incident, Smith said, and no charges were filed against the driver of the vehicle that hit him.
