Six-run outburst dooms G-Braves to 11-4 loss at Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Tim Fedroff’s three-run home run capped a six-run rally in the bottom of the sixth that lifted the host Columbus Clippers to an 11-4 win over the Gwinnett Braves on Thursday at Huntington Park.

The G-Braves actually led 4-2 heading into the bottom of the sixth, thanks to two RBIs apiece for Stefan Gartrell and Joe Leonard.

But a pinch-hit, two-run single by Jeremy Hermida in the bottom of the inning ignited the Columbus outburst, and helped make a winner out of Clippers reliever and North Gwinnett grad Blake Wood (2-0), who threw an inning out of the bullpen.

Leonard finished the night 2-for-4 for the G-Braves.
