A look at Gwinnett products in NFL training camps this summer:

• WR Brice Butler, Oakland Raiders

The Norcross grad, who played at both USC and San Diego State, was a seventh-round choice of Oakland earlier this year. The 6-foot-3 wideout has five catches for 108 yards and caught a TD in his first preseason game vs. Dallas.

• P Drew Butler, Pittsburgh Steelers

The second-year pro out of Peachtree Ridge averaged 43.8 yards (37.8 net) last season as the Steelers’ No. 1 punter. He has averaged 46.5 yards on eight punts this preseason.

• DT Dewayne Cherrington, Seattle Seahawks

The huge, undrafted rookie was cut by New England recently, but he signed a deal this week with the Seahawks. In college, the Central Gwinnett grad joined Mississippi State as a walk-on but worked his way into a scholarship.

• TE Jared Cook, St. Louis Rams

Cook, a North Gwinnett grad, signed with the Rams in the offseason after playing his first four seasons with the Titans, who made him a third-round draft pick in 2009. He has a combined 93 catches for 1,282 yards and seven TDs the past two seasons. He has one catch for 37 yards this preseason.

• WR Chad Hall, San Francisco 49ers

The Wesleyan grad had delayed entry into the NFL because of his Air Force commitment, but he’s made his mark in recent seasons. Part of the 49ers’ Super Bowl team last season, he previously played for the Eagles in 2010 and 2011. He has four catches for 59 yards in an impressive preseason.

• DE Cameron Heyward, Pittsburgh Steelers

The 2011 first-round pick has 31 tackles and 2.5 sacks in his first two NFL seasons. The Peachtree Ridge grad has played in 31 career games but hasn’t started a game yet.

• OG Edmund Kugbila, Carolina Panthers

The Central Gwinnett grad, a fourth-round draft pick earlier this year, is fighting for an offensive line spot for the Panthers. The rookie from Valdosta State has battled hamstring issues during the preseason.

DE Jonathan Massaquoi, Atlanta Falcons

Massaquoi has four tackles and a sack this preseason after making two tackles in eight regular-season games last year as a rookie. The Central Gwinnett grad was a fifth-round draft pick of Atlanta in 2012.

• LB Kevin Minter, Arizona Cardinals

The Peachtree Ridge and LSU product was a second-round draft pick earlier this year. He has seven tackles (six solos), tied for fourth-most on the team, this preseason.

• TE Emmanuel Ogbuehi, Washington Redskins

An undrafted, rookie free agent out of Georgia State, Ogbuehi is among a large group of Redskin tight ends. The Mill Creek grad caught a game-winning, two-point conversion this preseason against the Titans.

• TE Michael Palmer, Pittsburgh Steelers

After playing his first three seasons with the hometown Falcons, the Parkview grad has bounced around this offseason after free agency. Signed with the Giants May 12 and was released May 29, the signed with the Seahawks July 23 and was released Aug. 6. Was claimed off waivers by the Steelers on Aug. 8.

• DE Ryan Robinson, Oakland Raiders

The Oakland rookie from Mill Creek, an undrafted free agent, has made three tackles in two preseason games and has returned a fumble for a TD vs. the Saints.

• DE Quanterus Smith, Denver Broncos

The Grayson grad, a fourth-round draft choice this year, is working his way back from a knee injury that ended his senior season at Western Kentucky. His pass-rush role could be bigger with the recent suspension of Von Miller.
