Four Gwinnett grads make coaches All-SEC football team

Four Gwinnett products were named to the preseason Coaches All-Southeastern Conference Football Team, released Thursday by the league office.

Grayson’s Denzel Nkemdiche, a linebacker at Ole Miss, was the county’s lone first-team representative.

North Gwinnett had two offensive selections — Tennessee offensive tackle Ja’Wuan James on the second team and Auburn tight end C.J. Uzomah on the third team.

Alabama linebacker Adrian Hubbard, who played at Norcross and Peachtree Ridge, was a second-team pick.

Defending national and Southeastern Conference Champion Alabama led the league with 16 selections to the team, including five first-teamers and seven second-teamers. Georgia and LSU each had eight selections, tying for second-most.

Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own players.

LSU junior Odell Beckham Jr. was named to all three teams at three different positions, while Florida junior Ronald Powell was elected to the third team at both linebacker and defensive lineman by the SEC head coaches.

The 2013 SEC Coaches’ Pre-Season All-SEC Football Team is listed below:

Great, but sis they get drafted by an SEC team? That is what's more important.
