Bullet accidentally fired into Savannah college classroom

A college police officer accidentally fired his weapon on campus during a training demonstration Wednesday morning in Savannah, sending a bullet into a wall of a nearby classroom while students were inside.

No injuries were reported in the incident, Savannah State University said in a statement.

The bullet went through a window of the classroom where the officer was conducting a firearms demonstration for new officers, through the window of a nearby classroom, then into the wall of the classroom, the university said.

The officer faces suspension for the accident, according to the university.

Hey, headline writer...the city in the article is not a grassland in Africa.

Jeez, you guys can't even correctly spell the name of the oldest city in Georgia. At least the writer of the article got it right. Oh, yeah, the article was written by Reuters. The headline was written by a local. Now I understand.

While I disdain typographical, spelling, and punctuation errors (because they are preventable and should be caught in the editing process), I don't feel as though the problem shown in this headline qualifies the writer as being "Totally illiterate."

I pray I didn't screw anything up in this reply.
