Halle Reid Holland, 55, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 12, 2013 from a progression of ovarian cancer. Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Rich, daughter Aleah and son Grayson; parents Ray and Gerry Reid of Westlake, Ohio, and Allan and Sarena Holland of Elyria, Ohio. Siblings include Phil Reid (Joyce) of Smyrna, Georgia, Jay Reid (Karen) of Berea, Ohio, Robbie Bruewer (Jim) of Avon, Ohio, and Jeff Reid of Westlake, Ohio. Siblings-in-law include Gary Holland and Gayle Chissus of Wilmington, Delaware, John and Mary Ellen Holland of Olmsted Falls, Ohio, Paul and Janet Holland of Elyria, Ohio, Robert and Jessie Holland of Lakewood, Ohio. Survivors also include many beloved nieces and nephews, grandnieces/nephews, and aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends, near and far.
Halle earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communication from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) and a masters degree in Human Resources Organizational Development from the University of Georgia. Throughout her long career, she had the privilege of working for several of Atlantas hometown corporations, including Equifax, RJR Nabisco, Bell South (then Cingular, then Dallas-based ATT) and most recently, Invesco, Ltd.
A memorial service will be held in Atlanta on Saturday, August 24, 2013, 2:00 p.m. at Johns Creek Presbyterian Church, 10950 Bell Road, Johns Creek, GA 30097, with the Rev. Dr. Gray Norsworthy officiating. Visitors are also welcome at the family home after the service.
