Farm Bureau board members take tour

Gwinnett County Farm Bureau board members Phil and Dianne Hall took part in the Georgia Farm Bureau’s annual farm tour earlier this summer in Colquitt County, spotlighting one of the organization’s 10 districts.

This year Southwest Georgia’s agricultural diversity was featured as tour participants visited Mobley Greenhouse, Southern Valley Produce, Blackshank Farms, Stripling irrigation and Mark Glass enterprises among other venues. Members were able to witness the manufacturing of cantaloupes, visit an alligator farm and see how an above ground irrigation system operates.

The tour gave members the opportunity to get acquainted with the agricultural diversity of the state while providing an atmosphere for enjoyable fellowship.
