Antique shop to host furniture painting classes

LAWRENCEVILLE — Do you have some furniture that needs a little TLC? Or just needs a face lift?

You can learn how to paint the pieces back to new at Scotland Yard Antiques.

The antique shop is offering four 90-minute classes which will be led by the owner of Chipped and Charming, Amy Anderson.

Attendees will learn how to prep, paint and distress furniture with helpful tips for beginners. Classes are limited to four people at $75 a person on Monday, Aug. 26, Sept. 7 and 14. All dates are on Monday mornings from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

The price includes supplies, like paint, brushes and sanding blocks. All you need to bring is a piece of furniture (18-inch by 18-inch), which means it’s small enough to sit on a table in front of you.

Scotland Yard is located at 125 W. Crogan St. in Lawrenceville. For reservations, call Anderson at 770-572-4227 or email chippedandcharming@gmail.com.
