NORCROSS — Three youngs children hit by a car in Norcross Thursday night are expected to be OK.
Gwinnett County police said the three children — males age 2 and 5 and a 12-year-old female — were crossing the street in the area of Graves Road and West National Circle at about 8:40 p.m. Thursday. They were struck by a vehicle headed east on Graves Road, police spokesman Sgt. R.D. Work said.
“It appears that all three children were attempting to cross the street after returning from a local grocery store,” Work said.
The children were rushed to Children’s Healthcare at Scottish Rite with non-life threatening injuries. As of Friday afternoon, the 2-year-old and 12-year-old had been released.
“The third child is still in the hospital,” Work said.
Police said the children lived together and were family members, but weren’t sure if they were siblings. No charges were expected to be brought against the driver of the vehicle that struck them.
