LAWRENCEVILLE — There is never a bad time for a good laugh. This weekend, Aurora Theatre brings back its comedy nights with a new name.
Last season, the series outgrew the name Funny Fridays when Aurora discovered that folks love to laugh every night of the week. This season, Aurora Comedy Nights will be hosted by comedienne Katie Causey, who will serve as host of the newly named series.
This weekend, the venue welcomes the Short Bus Heroes: Matt Mitchell, Jamie Bendall, James “JB” Blackwell and Kevin Mason. The tour of four men have different outlooks and styles of comedy.
Mitchell, aka “Casino Kid,” from the Rick and Bubba radio show was also on his own reality show, “The Fatchelor,” and has been seen on MTV and FOX.
Bendall has been performing stand-up for the last 10 years but he is also a personal injury attorney.
Blackwell is a Dallas native known for his conversational delivery, willingness to chime in on any subject and charisma on stage.
Mason has shared the stage with comedians like Jon Reep, Kathleen Madigan, Ian Bagg and Ron White. He was featured in the article “Star Power” by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
If you’re a big fan of laughter, the Aurora is offering ComedyTix, which includes six admissions to the Comedy Nights for $69.60. You can choose the times and dates to use the tickets.
