Gwinnett Daily Post
One of my grandsons stayed with us Saturday and Sunday. Since he recently turned 11 and is a baseball fan, my wife and I decided to take him the Gwinnett Braves game on Saturday.
This is truly a fan’s ballpark. From the parking lot to our seats, there were no steps to climb and seating along the upper covered sections are very accessible to restrooms and food court. A crowd of 9,000 plus watched a lackluster performance by our home team, eventually losing9-1. Overall this was a good experience to be out with family and friends at the ballpark.
During the seventh inning stretch a local pastor led the fans in singing “God Bless America.” I was surprised at how many people did not know the words or did not sing at all. This became more evident when everyone loudly sang, “Take Me Out To The Ballgame.”
Maybe the words need to be displayed on the digital screen of the out field.
