LAWRENCEVILLE — A fifth doctor has been added to the Gwinnett Heart Specialists.
Dr. Yuri Pride came to the Gwinnett Medical Group from the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston where he served as an instructor in clinical medicine at Harvard Medical Center.
He specializes in radial artery catheterization by using a small artery in the wrist to perform coronary angiography and angioplasty procedures and stent procedures, a press release said. He’s interested in structural heart disease and interventions, including the transcatheter aortic valve replacement.
“I’m excited to join a medical community so dedicated to exceptional patient care,” Pride said. “I hope my skills, knowledge and expertise can bolster an already exemplary practice.”
Pride is a graduate of the Boston University School of Medicine where he also completed his residency in internal medicine. At Beth Israel, Pride completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. Pride’s also authored peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters that focused on caring for patients with cardiovascular disease.
