SUWANEE — The organizers who launched the popular Suwanee Beer Fest are adding another event to the Town Center Park schedule.
A wine fest is scheduled for 1 p.m. Oct. 5, and will be put on by the Veugeler Design Group and owners Randall and Angela Veugeler. A press release said the wine fest would have more than 250 wines from local, national and international wineries, along with food from Suwanee restaurants and live music. Food samples will also be available to “enhance the tasting experience,” a press release said.
Tickets will go on sale at noon on Friday. General admission tickets are $55, while VIP tickets are $110. If the event does not sell out in advance, tickets will be available the day of the event for $65. The ticket price includes a commemorative glass for the afternoon of wine tasting.
VIP tickets include catered food, premium wine samples, a Suwanee Wine Festival T-shirt, gift bag, sommeliers to answer any wine-related questions and exclusive seating.
A portion of all proceeds will be donated to Annandale Village in Suwanee that provides life assistance to adults with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries.
About 5,000 people attended the third annual Suwanee Beer Fest in March on St. Patrick’s Day. They sampled more than 300 beers from more than 100 of the country’s breweries.
