GAINESVILLE — Mackenzie Bradford scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the seventh to lift Norcross to a 9-8 win over Dunwoody on Friday in the Lanier Pointe Invitational.
Vanessa Bradford pitched five innings, going four scoreless innings, allowing two hits and striking out eight. Nancy Thompson was 1-for-3 with two RBIs.
North Hall 5, Lanier 2
GAINESVILLE — Twin sisters Holland and Hannah Coursey each had a pair of doubles in Lanier’s 5-2 loss to North Hall in the Lanier Pointe Invitational on Friday.
Holland added an RBI, while Hannah was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Kirsten Loughlin was 1-for-3 for the Longhorns (0-1).
GAINESVILLE — Three Duluth players had at least two hits in the Wildcats’ 12-3 win over Gainesville in the Lanier Point Invitational on Friday.
Cassie Kooker (2-for-4), Toni Perrucci (2-for-3), Megan Sheridan (2-for-3) and Sydnee Worthy (1-for-2, two walks) led the offense, while MacKenzie Yarbrough got the win with two strikeouts.
SUWANEE — Peachtree Ridge lost to Providence 12-11 and then fell to Lambert 6-5 in the South Gwinnett Diamond Classic on Friday.
Laura Purcell was the losing pitcher against Providence. Maiah Johnson went 2-for-5 with three stolen bases and a run, Brandi Mason was 4-for-5 with three stolen bases and Lizzy Hehlstein was 3-for-4 with three runs.
Ashley Cook got the loss against Lambert. Lolli Yu went 3-for-4 with a run and Savanna Turvy went 2-for-4 with a home run, double and two RBIs.

NORCROSS — Greater Atlanta Christian lost to Evans 17-2 and Mountain View 5-2 on Friday in the South Gwinnett Diamond Classic.
Grace DeBoer had three hits and three runs, Mary Johnson had two hits and one RBI and Claire Holcomb added two hits.

SUWANEE — Providence used a seventh-inning rally to beat Peachtree Ridge in the South Gwinnett Diamond Classic on Friday. Then the Storm dropped a 15-3 decision to Lambert in three innings.
The Storm (1-1) scored 10 runs in the bottom of the seventh inning against Peachtree Ridge to rally from a 7-2 defecit. Emily Barnett, who started the game and went 6 1/3 innings, came back into the game to get the final two outs. Abigail Roberson was the winning pitcher.
Katy Barry was 5-for-5 with four runs and two RBIs, Barnett went 4-for-5 with four RBIs and a run, Mackenzie Tuttle was 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI, Allison James was 2-for-5 with a double, RBI and run, while Alyssa Elliott had two hits, a run and RBI.
Roberson got the loss against Lambert. Brittany Tuttle had one hit and two runs, Mackenzie Tuttle had a hit, RBI and run, while Roberson added a hit and RBI.
