NORCROSS —The summer concert series in Norcross continues on Friday with a performance by the band “A-town A-List,” which features “50 years of pop music with a very current edge.”
The free event begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Thrasher Park Amphitheatre, and the city of Norcross encourages attendees to bring refreshments, a blanket or take to-go picnics from downtown eateries.
There are two more events scheduled as part of the series.
Bobby and the Aristocats, a MoTown party band are scheduled to play on Aug. 16, while A1A is scheduled to be the series finale on Aug. 30, the weekend of Labor Day.
The concerts are also collection sites for the CAN Do food drive, a county-wide effort to fill the shelves of local food pantries. Donations of canned food and non-perishable items can be dropped off in bins during each concert. Donations are taken to the Norcross Co-op Ministries, a charity dedicated to helping needy families in our community.
