Asian American Resource Center awarded $10K grant

DULUTH — The Atlanta Women’s Foundation granted $10,000 to Asian American Resource Center, announced Thursday morning.

The grant was given as part of AWF’s 2013 spring grant cycle. The money granted supports the Asian Americans’ Health First program for low-income women in metro-Atlanta that provides health education, medical services and application screening for government benefits, according to a press release.

AARC’s mission is to “improve the quality of life for Asian-Americans by increasing cultural awareness and encouraging communication within the diverse Atlanta community” through its educational, health, human service and cultural programs.
