Peachtree Ridge's Rector signs with Georgia Southern

Peachtree Ridge senior Jeremy Rector has signed with the Georgia Southern men's soccer program.

Rector played three high school seasons with the Lions, scoring 22 goals with nine assists last season as a junior. He passed up his senior season of high school soccer to play this spring with Georgia United's United States Soccer Federation Developmental Academy team. He is the son of Joe and Jeanne Rector.

"Jeremy really embodies what we are looking for in our forwards," GSU head coach Kevin Kennedy said. "Not only is he great off the ball, he can make space for himself, he can turn defenders, he is very quick and athletic, but he also really embraces the things we ask our forwards to do defensively. Jeremy will fit in nicely with our other attacking players."
