DULUTH -- Where can you find Ariel from "The Little Mermaid," Buzz Lightyear from "Toy Story" and Lightning McQueen from "Cars" under one roof?

From Wednesday to May 5, it doesn't need to be just in your living room. Disney On Ice presents "Worlds of Fantasy" is coming to the Arena at Gwinnett Center with a mix of contemporary and classic Disney stories, plus some other special guests.

"To be the first to introduce the Tinker Bell story live on ice and to be entrusted with the beloved 'Toy Story' characters is incredible, and we are thrilled to bring these heartwarming tales to families across the United States," producer Nicole Feld said.

The show begins with Mickey and Minnie Mouse decide to take a journey through a world of fantasy. On their travels, the couple breaks down and the adventure takes an interesting turn.

The two stranded characters get some help from race cars of Radiator Springs -- Lightning McQueen, Tow Mater and Sally Carrera from "Cars" spring into action to get the car back on the road.

The story also makes a visit to Andy's bedroom from "Toy Story," goes undersea for "The Little Mermaid" and stops by Pixie Hollow to meet Tinker Bell.

On Thursday, Disney on Ice and Feld Entertainment wanted to do something for Tripp Halstead, the 2-year-old who suffered a traumatic brain injury outside his Barrow County day care almost six months ago.

The companies know the young boy is a big fan of Lightning McQueen, so the character is making a special appearance on the ice at the 3 p.m. show to greet fans as they sign a "get well" card for Halstead. Tripp's classmates from Cribs to Crayons in Winder will be in attendance, as well as some Gwinnett area students and Crystal Drake, spokesperson for Feld Entertainment.

Last year, Tripp received a voicemail from Owen Wilson, the voice of Lightning McQueen, to show his support for the boy.

"This is a great chance to send some love Tripp's way and share this heartwarming event full of community support," said Michelle Parks, account executive of EOS Marketing and Communications, Inc. "If there is one thing that Tripp and others' need -- it's an escape into a world of fantasy."
