The Norcross athletic program, after a historic 2012-13 school year, will receive a special award at the June 22 Atlanta Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
Norcross will be recognized at the event, which is at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, because it became the first Georgia High School Association program to win football, boys basketball and girls basketball titles in the same academic year.
The Atlanta Sports Hall of Fame class going in this year features longtime prep basketball coach Ron Bradley, whose career included a stop at Greater Atlanta Christian, Olympic swimmer Steve Lundquist, Atlanta Crackers owner/manager Earl Mann, Georgia Tech athletic director Homer Rice and former NFL and MLB player Deion Sanders.
