Buford's Doyle signs with Georgia Southern hoops

Georgia Southern's men's basketball program announced the signing of Buford standout Kyle Doyle on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-6 forward helped the Wolves to the Class AAA Final Four in his only season at Buford after he transferred in from Josey in Augusta. He was a first-team all-state selection and the Region 7-AAA player of the year after averaging 20 points and a Gwinnett-best 11.8 rebounds.

"I am very excited to have Kyle join our program," GSU head coach Mark Byington said. "We expect him to make a major impact with our team next year. Kyle can play both forward spots and has a lot of qualities that will benefit our team. He is tough, skilled, intelligent and plays very hard."
