LETTERS: Reflections on Boston

It was inspiring to me that the people of the Boston area stood shoulder to shoulder in solidarity and sang "God Bless America." Our hearts and prayers are focused on those families that have suffered tremendous pain and sorrow due to death and injury of this vicious act at the Boston Marathon.

My Bible states that evil will always have plans to harm the innocent (Psalm 140). I believe that when I lay my head on my pillow at night and nothing tragic or really bad has happened to me or my loved ones, I have been blessed that day. Maybe I will get my flag back out and let it wave every day and thank God for my blessings daily and not wait until tragedy strikes again.

It just might let God see that we appreciate every blessing.
