LAWRENCEVILLE -- On Saturday, the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds will be filled with scouts' honor, camping expertise and cheer. The Northeast Georgia Council is hosting its annual Scouts Show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers, Explorers, friends and family are invited to come together to share in scouting traditions.
This show has become a tradition so scouts of all ages can demonstrate their skills and have the chance to learn new skills from fellow scouts.
Some of the booths on site include camp cooking, nature displays, catapults, neckerchief slide crafts, CPR and first aid, rain gutter regatta, crafts, geocaching, a monkey bridge and survival kits. Other non-scout related booths will be on display, such as Zoo Atlanta.
Troops, packs and crews may also camp Friday and Saturday evenings. Each night has different activities for the boys, including movies and Council Pinewood Derby races. To camp overnight or to run a booth, pre-register at nega-bsa.org/scout-show-2013.
