Tech will travel to Notre Dame in 2015

ATLANTA -- Notre Dame returns to the Georgia Tech football schedule in 2015 as part of the Fighting Irish's scheduling partnership with the Atlantic Coast Conference. The date for the game, which will be played in South Bend, Ind., has not been finalized.

The ACC announced Friday afternoon Notre Dame's five ACC opponents for 2014, 2015 and 2016. As part of the agreement with the conference, the Irish will play five ACC teams each year, alternating between three home games-two road games and two home games-three road games each year. Notre Dame will face every ACC team at least once in the first three-year rotation of games.

Georgia Tech is no stranger to playing Notre Dame in football. The Yellow Jackets and Irish have met 34 times on the gridiron (Notre Dame leads the series 27-6-1), most recently in 2007, a 33-3 Tech victory in South Bend. The two teams met for the first time in football in 1922.
