LAWRENCEVILLE -- Sheriff Butch Conway and Judge Carla Brown will host a motorcycle ride and barbecue lunch Saturday to benefit Brown's animal rescue group.
The Third Annual "Bikes, Barks and Bar-B-Q" will begin with a police-escorted motorcycle ride, departing from the Gwinnett County jail and ending -- after taking the scenic route -- at Big Sky Farm in Dacula.
From about noon to 2:30 p.m., the farm, home of Brown's Canine Pet Rescue, will serve a barbecue lunch. Festivities will also include dog demonstrations, raffles, a silent auction, live music, adoptions and pet photos.
Fees to participate are: $25 for riders (includes lunch and T-shirt); $10 for passengers (includes lunch); $10 for an adult lunch ticket; and $5 for a child lunch ticket.
