SUWANEE -- The weather is warming up and Suwanee is ready to get outside to play.

On Saturday, the second installment of Suwanee's "Super Incredible Race," a mental and physical scavenger hunt, kicks off at 3 p.m.

The award-winning event, which counted more than 40 teams last year, is modeled after the TV show "Amazing Race" in which teams of two or teams of several family members receive a series of clues in and around Town Center Park and Old Town.

At last year's event, contestants slurped spaghetti noodles, danced, solved a complex math equation in which the answer was 30024 and told a joke.

Participants may compete on foot or bike, and may travel up to five miles, according to a news release, which added that the course could take one to three hours to complete.

Registration was required for the race. Residents are encouraged to cheer on the teams.

Prizes will be awarded in pedestrian and bike categories, and for best costume or theme.

After the race, Departure, a Journey tribute band, is playing a free concert at 7 p.m. The five musicians replicate the look, sound and feel of the original '80s rock group.

Attendees are asked to being blankets, lawn chairs and picnic baskets to the concert, but no alcohol may be brought into Town Center Park. Food and beverages, including beer and wine, may be purchased that evening from Town Center restaurants and concert vendors.
