PREP ROUNDUP: Bennett no-no leads Buford past Fannin Co.

BLUE RIDGE -- Conner Bennett threw a no-hitter to help Buford to a 9-0 win over Fannin County in Region 7-AAA baseball action Thursday.

Bennett struck out 14 and also hit a home run to help his cause, while Patrick Burnette had three hits and also homered for the Wolves (18-3, 15-2).


Lovett 3, GAC 2

NORCROSS -- Lovett scored the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh to defeat Greater Atlanta Christian 3-2 Thursday. Jordan Dudek hit a solo home run for the Spartans (10-10, 3-5), while teammate Peyton McGuire had two hits and an RBI.

Grayson 15, Central Gwinnett 0

LOGANVILLE -- Grayson defeated Central Gwinnett 15-0 in four innings Thursday.

Taylor Allum was the winning pitcher for the Rams (17-7, 12-2), while Cole Blackmon, Korey Anderson and Casey Collins had two hits apiece for Grayson.

Providence Christian 10, Lakeview 3

LILBURN -- Charlie Scott hit a two-run homer to lift Providence Christian to a 10-3 win over Lakeview Academy on Thursday night.

Jack Winskie pitched five innings, striking out six to post the win. Erich Stahl had three hits and three RBIs and Steven Kleinschmidt also drove in three runs for the Storm (13-10, 13-3).

South Gwinnett 9, Berkmar 8

LILBURN -- South Gwinnett defeated Berkmar 9-8 Thursday.

Colton Nash picked up his first win of the year, pitching 4 innings. Ryan Patterson led the Comets (18-5, 11-2) at the plate with two hits and three runs scored.

Parkview 9, Shiloh 8

LILBURN -- Parkview edged Shiloh 9-8 in Region 8-AAAAAA Thursday. Ryan Blanton, Josh Hart and Micah Finley all hit home runs for the Panthers (16-6, 11-2). Trevor Brown had two hits and Sam McCoy pitched three innings to get the win.

Norcross 3, Collins Hill 2

HAMILTON MILL -- Norcross defeated Collins Hill 3-2 to take third place in the Region 7-AAAAAA championships. Winners for Collins Hill (13-6) were Ian Melnik in singles and the double duo of Jake Inderrieden and Marcus Maloney. Collins Hill will play Lambert in the opening round of the state tournament.

BUFORD -- Buford defeated North Hall 3-0 to win the Region 7-AAA tennis tournament. Annalea Stevens and Mariajose Ferreyros won singles matches and the doubles tandem of Jessica Thompson and Rebecca Hendrix won their match.

SNELLVILLE -- Brookwood defeated Dacula 128-140 at the Summit Chase Country Club on Thursday.

Harmanprit Kaur led the Broncos with a round of 40, while teammate Taylor Allen recorded a 43. Kiersten Nowell led the Falcons with a 44.

Grayson 143, Central Gwinnett 203

WINDER -- Grayson defeated Central Gwinnett 143-203 at the Chimneys Golf Course on Thursday. Julie Spangler led the Rams with a 44, while Michelle Donnelly recorded a personal best 47.

Mill Creek 125, Norcross 158

HAMILTON MILL -- Katie Plummer shot a 39 to lead Mill Creek to a 125-158 win over Norcross.

Camille Streeter led Norcross by carding a 48.

Brookwood 161, Dacula 168

SNELLVILLE -- Brookwood edged Dacula 161-168 Thursday at Summit Chase Country Club.

Alex Weisel led the Broncos with a 39, while Drew Hutchinson and Carver Weeks each shot a 40 to help Brookwood. Harold Lei was the low scorer for the Falcons, carding a 41.

Mill Creek 151, Norcross 158

HAMILTON MILL -- Dylan Pence fired a 36 to help Mill Creek defeat Norcross 151-158. Zach Healy led the Blue Devils with a 38.

Wesleyan 149, Pace Academy 168

ATLANTA -- James Cyran and Cody Solomon shot a 1-under 35 to lead Wesleyan to a 149-168 win over Pace Academy.

Hunter Dixon and Nick Ross scored 39 and 40 to help the Wolves.

CUMMING -- Providence Christian fell to Pinecrest 203-242 Thursday. Andrew Randazza was the low score for the Storm.

SUWANEE -- Collins Hill defeated Mountain View 19-7 Thursday night.

Freshman Abby Squires had five goals and five assists for the Eagles (5-8).

Alyssa Quinones had four goals and Anna Britt had three for Collins Hill.

DULUTH -- Ali Cole and Sarena Sutton, both seniors, made Senior Night memorable by scoring two goals each to help Duluth defeat Archer 10-8.

Rebecca Graham and Whitney Brown also scored two goals apiece for the Wildcats (8-4-2).

ALPHARETTA -- Parker Stevens and Whit Anderson each scored twice to help Greater Atlanta Christian to a 6-3 win over Cambridge.

Sam Harter and Justin Parker each scored a goal and Stewart Butler had nine saves in net for the Spartans (9-6, 7-1).

Collins Hill 16, Mountain View 6

SUWANEE -- Collins Hill defeated Mountain View 16-6 in a Region 7-AAAAAA contest Thursday.

Freshman Russell Gardner, Pat Singer and Zach Cao each scored three goals for the Eagles (7-6).

Duluth 16, Archer 3

DULUTH -- Duluth defeated Archer 16-3 Thursday night. Brendan Eckard scored four goals, Jordan Dandridge and Aaron Hind scored three each for the Wildcats.

Ben Loyal had two goals and four assists and Sky Tabor had eight saves in goal for Duluth.

Peachtree Ridge 5, Norcross 1

NORCROSS -- Kinsey Dziwura scored two goals to help Peachtree Ridge to a 5-1 over Norcross. Jordyn Missel and Ashley Blamforth each scored a goal.

Rounding out the Lions scoring was a goal by Nicole Misener off an assist from her sister, Erika Misener.

BUFORD -- Buford defeated East Hall 10-0 Thursday night to improve to 14-0 on the season and 5-0 in Region 7-AAA.

Tara Dambach and Brie Smith led the Wolves with two goals each.

NORCROSS -- Peachtree Ridge's Jordan Davis scored two goals to help the Lions to a 3-0 win over Norcross (6-10, 2-6).
