LAWRENCEVILLE -- Want to dance the night away to classic and popular hits? Polish and strap on your dancing shoes because here's your chance.

On Sunday, the Aurora Theatre hosts its Swing Nights at its venue for an evening of live music and a large dance floor. This time around, the Lawrenceville theater allowed the audience to choose the songs to be performed throughout the night.

The music will be played by the 17-piece Metro Jazz Club. The night is filled with the most popular selections from toe-tapping categories: TV and movie themes, Rat Pack standards, Big Band classics and more. Just put it this way -- you will know the words to more than one of the songs.

Metro Jazz Club is led by jazz sax player Gary Dalton with Jason Joines and Amanda Richards belting out the tunes.

Leading as the emcee of the night is the Aurora's Associate Producer and Resident Musical Director Ann-Carol Pence. Accompanying Pence through the evening is tenor vocalist Eric Moore, who is no stranger to singing on stage. He has performed on the Aurora's stage several times over the years, including "Christmas Canteen" and "Once on This Island."

On any other evening, you can hear Metro Jazz Club perform Real Big Band classics like Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller and Duke Ellington of the '30s and '40s. Or jam through the '50s and '60s with Buddy Rich and Maynard Ferguson. It can also get down to '70s and '80s music, like Blood, Sweat and Tears, Chicago, and Stevie Wonder.
