For the second time in 10 days, Tripp Halstead has left a hospital.

The toddler, who had his gallbladder removed last week, left Children's Hospital of Atlanta at Scottish Rite on Tuesday evening, his parents wrote on Facebook with a picture of Halstead in a car seat. Earlier Tuesday, Stacy, Halstead's mother, wrote that a neurosurgeon said the shunt in her son's head looked good.

Halstead has recently shown positive signs about his heart rate and breathing.

"He hasn't thrown up since he had his gallbladder out," Stacy wrote. "Maybe that was the problem all along. We will never really know."

The last time Halstead left the hospital, he spent a weekend at a grandparents' house in Jefferson before he was taken by ambulance back to the hospital.

"When Tripp is awake now, his eyes are a lot more open," Stacy wrote. "Can't believe we have been here over a week now. Time flies when you're at the hospital. Believe me, when we get home, I will be more prepared for an emergency. Have mine and Tripp's bags packed."

It's been nearly five and a half months since Halstead suffered a traumatic brain injury outside a Barrow County daycare when a heavy tree limb fell on him.

God must surely have a plan for this little boy. More prayers are needed for him and his family.
