Volunteer shuttle drivers needed
The Greater Gwinnett Championship needs volunteers to drive shuttle vans during the upcoming event.
The weeklong PGA Champions Tour golf tournament will benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (Gwinnett), Gwinnett County Public Schools Foundation, Georgia Gwinnett College Foundation, Gwinnett Technical College and the Gwinnett Children’s Shelter.
Volunteer shuttle drivers will transport golf tournament volunteers April 17-21 from the parking lot on Sugarloaf Parkway near the TPC Sugarloaf subdivision’s Sugarloaf Gate entrance to designated stops around the golf course.
No special licensing is needed to drive the new 12-passenger vans. But drivers must be at least 18 years old, have a valid license and have a good driving record. They must also supply their own transportation to the tournament on the days they work.
There are three shifts per day, Wednesday through Sunday, beginning at 5 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Email Maurice@exploregwinnett.org to volunteer.
