Eagles' Williams commits to Western Carolina baseball

Nate Williams, a senior at Collins Hill, has committed to play baseball for Western Carolina University, a Southern Conference school in Cullowhee, N.C.

Williams, a first baseman and pitcher, is a three-year varsity letterman in baseball and a two-year varsity letterman in basketball, where he served as captain last season. He has played for 643 DP Athletics Baseball and East Cobb Baseball during the offseason and also pitched a perfect game at 14 years old in USA Baseball's 16U Championship tournament. He was a Georgia Dugout Club Top 100 selection for both his sophomore and junior years.

Williams also maintains a 3.6 GPA.
