LILBURN -- A Gwinnett County teen remains in jail after police arrested him last week in connection with an alleged armed robbery near Berkmar High School and a separate incident in Lawrenceville.

On March 27, police arrested Isaiah Jenkins, 18, of Lawrenceville, a Berkmar High School student, on charges of armed robbery, theft and battery.

The arrest stemmed initially from an alleged incident in December in which three young victims were approached by suspects in a Crown Victoria behind Berkmar High School.

One of the suspects used a Taser on a victim and got back in the car, which drove away. Both parties left, but the suspects in the Crown Victoria later approached the victims again at a nearby apartment complex, this time with a .22 caliber handgun.

According to the police report, the suspect said: "Give me all you got or I'm gonna shoot you."

The victims handed over their cell phones, the report stated. It did not state the names of other suspects in the car.

Another incident on March 26 -- in which a suspect punched and robbed a teenager on Haverhill Rowe in Lawrenceville -- led investigators to arrest Jenkins the following day.

Officers staked out Jenkins home on March 27 in Lawrenceville with two armed robbery arrest warrants. After several minutes of surveillance, they saw him come out of the home.

They approached Jenkins, placed handcuffs on him and "advised him he had warrants for his arrest for armed robbery."

According to the report, Jenkins said: "Armed robbery? I didn't even have a weapon."

After his arrest, Jenkins was transported to Central Precinct, where an interview was conducted.

According to April 3 jail records, he remains in custody.
