Gwinnett Daily Post
Gwinnett's final high school basketball game of the 2012-13 season will feature some of the county's top players during the 2013 Gwinnett County Seniors All-Star games tonight at Grayson High School.
The girls game tips off first at 6 p.m., followed by the boys game shortly thereafter at around 7:30.
Among the girls participants are four members of the Daily Post's All-County team, including Buford post and Notre Dame signee Kristina Nelson and Parkview's Marissa Mandeldove, both of whom will play for a team coached by former Grayson assistant and former North Forsyth head coach Jack Sarfaty, and Mill Creek's Nadiya Miller and North's Peyton Whitted, who will be part of the opposing team led by a coach yet to be announced.
The boys game will feature even more all-county selections scattered on each roster.
Leading one team coached by former North Gwinnett head coach and current Archer assistant Len Garner are Buford's Kyle Doyle and A.J. Davis, plus Dacula's Jaylen Williams.
That team will be opposed by a team coached by former Duluth head coach and current Lanier junior varsity coach Jonathan Hemingway, which will feature Daily Post Boys Player of the Year Brandon Goodwin, as well as All-County selections Collin Swinton of GAC, Darius Joell of Collins Hill, Trevon Shaw of Mill Creek and Jordan Capps of Peachtree Ridge.
Tickets to the event are $5 for adults and $3 for kids 10 and under, with proceeds going to diabetes research and awareness organizations.
