LAWRENCEVILLE -- Only 10 days remain to register to vote in November's election.
Gwinnett residents have until Saturday, Oct. 9 to register in time for this year's general election, which includes the United States presidential race, a statewide charter school amendment and, depending on your district, races for Congress and the House of Representatives.
To register to vote, you must be 18 years old by election day, a legal United States citizen and a legal resident of the county you register in. Convicted felons and those judicially determined to be mentally incompetent are not eligible.
The general election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
Voters can cast early ballots in person on weekdays from Oct. 15 to Nov. 2 at the Gwinnett County Elections Office, located at 455 Grayson Highway in Lawrenceville. Satellite offices throughout the county will also be open for early voting on Saturday, Oct. 27.
Full directions for registering, as well as more information and sample ballots, can be found on www.gwinnettcounty.com under the "Elections" department tab.
