MONROE (AP) -- Detectives in a northeast Georgia county say they've identified a man whose body was found in a trash bin, but how he died remains a mystery.
Monroe police said 60-year-old Raul C. Alayon, a native of Uruguay who lived in Loganville, died of "blunt force trauma to the entire body."
Georgia Bureau of Investigation Agent Jesse Maddox said that investigators don't know whether foul play was involved. Maddox says there's no indication that Alayon was shot or stabbed.
Investigators say they're looking at the possibly that Alayon was killed by a waste truck's compactor.
Monroe city public works employees found the body Tuesday morning in a refuse trailer at a Walton County solid waste plant and notified police. Monroe is about 45 miles east of Atlanta.
