BUFORD -- A Buford assisted living and memory care facility will host a fall festival Saturday to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association.
Ivy Springs Manor, located near the Mall of Georgia at 3177 Gravel Springs Road, will host its event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. In addition to over 30 wide-ranging vendors on site, community residents have been working on crafts projects like handmade coasters, birdhouses and frames to sell, Ivy Springs spokeswoman Sarah Biehl said.
"They are really excited about raising money for such a good cause," Biehl said.
The day's festivities will also include face painting, games, live music and raffles. Hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn and caramel apples will be for sale.
All money raised will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association and its "Walk to End Alzheimer's," held on the Duluth town green on Oct. 6.
Ivy Springs Manor is a new assisted living community that opened in mid-July.
