Buford grad Omar Hunter, a senior nosetackle at Florida, was named the Southeastern Conference defensive lineman of the week on Tuesday.
Hunter made a career-high eight tackles last Saturday in the Gators' 31-0 shutout of Kentucky. Florida ranks in the top 20 nationally in several defensive categories in its 4-0 start.
