SUGAR HILL -- Now less than a month away, the Sugar Hill Fall Festival is one of Gwinnett County's widest-ranging -- from a 5K to a chili cook-off, it's got a little bit of everything.
The 12th annual Sugar Hill Fall Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 20, the day after the 5K Sugar Maple Race takes place. Hosted at E.E. Robinson Park, the festival will include more than 70 arts and crafts vendors, a community parade, face painting, carnival rides and games, as well as a petting zoo.
Applications are still being accepted for a 1 p.m. chili cook-off at the park. Entrants are also still welcome for the festival's classic and Volkswagen car show. More information and applications for competitors and vendors are available at www.cityofsugarhill.com.
Admission is free to the festival itself, and those who bring a bag full of canned goods will receive a free ride/game pass, officials said.
Visit the city's website for more information and a complete schedule of events.
