LAWRENCEVILLE -- On Saturday, the Gwinnett Ballet Theatre is hosting a casting call for dancers who would like to a part of this year's production of "The Nutcracker" under the direction of Wade Walthall.
The performances will be held between Nov. 30 to Dec. 16 at the Gwinnett Performing Arts Center in Duluth. After dancers are selected, rehearsals will begin immediately.
Young dancers who wish to participate must come to the casting call per the schedule, which is based on age:
Ages 4 and 5 at 2:30 p.m.
Ages 6 and 7 at 3 p.m.
Ages 8, 9 and 10 at 3:30 p.m.
Ages 11 and 12 at 4 p.m.
Ages 13 and older at 4:30 p.m.
The casting call will be held at the GBT's new location, 1800 MacLeod Drive in Lawrenceville, across Sugarloaf Parkway from Gwinnett Tech.
Dancers selected for parts must be registered students at the GBT School, plus be able to pay a production fee. Those interested in trying out who aren't a part of the school can sign up on the day of the casting call.
