ATLANTA (AP) -- Georgia's top Republican officials are showing their support for Mitt Romney at a fundraising event in Atlanta.
The GOP presidential nominee stopped Wednesday in downtown Atlanta to meet donors and raise money at the Marriott Marquis. The Romney campaign said the guest list included Gov. Nathan Deal, Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle, state Attorney General Sam Olens, House Speaker David Ralston and Georgia GOP chairwoman Sue Everhart.
Romney's campaign says it sold 960 tickets to the event. The minimum donation was $1,000 per person.
A few protesters gathered outside the hotel during the fundraiser.
Romney flew to Atlanta from Dallas, where he spent the night after a fundraiser Tuesday. He was scheduled to fly to Miami later Wednesday to raise more money.
