MONROE — A middle-school student from Gwinnett is seriously ill at an Atlanta hospital after he collapsed during football practice in Walton County.
Jon Ross Snell was in critical condition Tuesday at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.
The student was taken to the hospital by helicopter Monday afternoon when he lost consciousness during football practice. He plays on the 7th grade team for George Walton Academy.

A family member confirmed with the Daily Post on Tuesday that he lives in Gwinnett County.
