LAWRENCEVILLE -- Public safety officials and the Gwinnett Braves will partner up to hold their third annual public safety fall festival next month.
Held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 6, the newest edition of the festival will be held at Coolray field and include a car and motorcycle show, SWAT and fire demonstrations, helicopters and other emergency vehicles. The Gwinnett County fire department's softball team will also take on a squad from the Gwinnett police department.
"This festival demonstrates Gwinnett County's commitment to public safety for our residents," fire department spokesman Lt. Colin Rhoden said. "This fun, free, educational event will feature the best of Gwinnett."
Coolray Field is located at 2500 Buford Drive in Lawrenceville. For more information, call the Gwinnett police crime prevention unit at 770-338-4170, ext. 5754, or the Gwinnett fire community risk reduction-education section at 678-518-4845.
