William and Joanne Meeker of Duluth recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. They were married Aug. 31, 1947, at St. John's Episcopal Church in Elkhart, Ind.
They have four children: Douglas Meeker, married to Cynthia, of Grand Rapids, Mich.; Margot Meeker of Decatur; Gary Meeker, married to Nita Jean of Loganville; and James Meeker, married to Samantha of Duluth. They also have six grandchildren: Tom Meeker and Sandra Walker, both of Dacula; Ashley, Linsey, Lily and Madeleine Meeker, all of Duluth; and two great-grandchildren, Alana and Cameron Walker.
They are members of the Edwards Episcopal Church in Lawrenceville.
