GRAYSON -- A Grayson man missing since late August has been found in Florida, Gwinnett County police confirmed Friday.
Derek Woodston Buford, 42, was reported missing on Aug. 28, almost a full week after the date he had last been seen. Police believed at the time of his disappearance that Buford may have been in medical distress because he had "some medical issues which are of concern and left home without his medication."
Gwinnett County police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith confirmed Friday that he had been discovered.
"I don't have many details, but I can confirm he was located alive in Florida," Smith said.
It was unclear Friday how Buford was found, or what his medical condition was.
